No Comments on Marketing on Facebook.

facebook (2)It just make sense to do your marketing on Facebook. There are so many people on Facebook and it’s where most people spend most of their time

But you have to know what you are doing to really do your marketing there. You can’t just signup for a Facebook account and then start pushing what ever it is you are trying to promote. There are right ways and wrong ways to do it.

As with anything you should have some sort of a plan before you start to do anything promoting what ever you are going to promote. This will help you be able to better know what you need to do and how to go about it.

You need to know if you are going to try to sell your product on Facebook itself or going to try to drive traffic to a website to make the sale. Maybe you just going to use it to build you mailing list. As you can tell depending on what you are going to do dictates how you will set up your Facebook campaign.

The first thing you are going to want to do is setup a Fan Page. This is a must because unlike your personal account that can only have 5,000 followers, a fan page can have an unlimited amount to followers, in likes from people. When people like you page and if they don’t turn off notifications then every time you post something on the page it will show up in their news feed.

When setting up your page you must give some thought about it before you start setting it up. You need to think about the name you are going to use as it will be very hard to change it once you have it up and running. There are also different categories for pages now you will need to decide where you page fits for the most exposure. You are going to have to have a cover picture as well as a profile picture. If you have your own logo or anything else you are wanting to use so that when people see it they will know it’s you then that is what you will want to use.

So depending on what type of business you have and what you want to do on Facebook will determine how you will setup your Fan Page. There is a lot more that you need to know about marketing on Facebook but making your page is the best place to start.
